E3 2020 CANCELLED DUE TO GROWING CONCERNS OVER COVID-19 VIRUS

E3, the world’s premier event for computer and video games industry, announces to cancel the exposition due to the concerns of coronavirus.

On the official homepage of E3 Expo, an announcement states that,

"... we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation. We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event for our fans and supporters. But we know it’s the right decision based on the information we have today."

"We are also exploring options with our members to coordinate an online experience to
showcase industry announcements and news in June 2020."

This is not the first, and will certainly not be the last exposition to be cancelled among the COVID-19 outbreak.  Interesting enough, the situation pushes many global events seeking online alternatives to keep the momentum going.

What alternatives you have facing cancelled Expo?

Build an online presence might not be the problem for online tech companies, it is a challenge for more traditional oriented enterprises.
"Having a website is a prerequisite for any business, and it is not enough," said the director of Topic News PR, Ms. Xu. "You need to have an online product showroom, working online contact methods, and send news releases to your target audience."
